The hills surrounding the Kathmandu valley grants a wide range of ecological diversity from primary and secondary forest to Rhododendron, Oak and Pine forest. Other than this wetlands and open fields in the valley make a wide habitat for many species of birds. The most popular Bird watching spots in Kathmandu valley are Pulchowki, Godavari, Nagarjun, Bagmati River, Taudaha and many others. Apart from this different species of birds are found in Nepal depending upon the vegetation and altitude.
