Shivapuri Watershed and Wildlife Reserve

Overview:

Shivapuri watershed and wildlife reserve situated 12kms north of Kathmandu is one of the most happening destination for bird lovers. We can reach there either from Sundarijal or from Budanilkantha. The reserve is under the protection of Nepalese Army and it costs Rs250 for the foreigners to get the entry inside the reserve. Among many some of the birds that can be seen here are Laughing Thrush, Crested Serpent Eagle, Little Pied Fly catchers, Rupy throats and Babblers.
