Bhotekoshi River Rafting Itinerary

Day 1

We will meet in our office for the Pre departure meeting arranged by our expedition leader where he will explain about our trip and the types of rapid we will come along and the ways to tackle them. Then we will start our drive in our private vehicle. In the way we will be greeted by the majestic vista of Ganesh Himal and Langtang Lirung. Upon arrival to Khadichaur we will set our camp, have the lunch and start our two days of amazing rafting adventure. The first day of raft is three and half hour long and introduces us to grade III and grade IV rapids. We will start with a long chain of grade III rapid and suddenly drop into a grade IV rapid called Gerbil in the Plumbing. After crossing this there is again a chain of grade III rapids which brings us to the main challenge of the day which is a long technical rapid called Frog in the Blender. The river flows through the enchanting narrow canyon adorned with lush green vegetation and waterfalls coming from the steep slopes. In the end there is twisted rapid called Exlax. Just before arriving to the village of Barabise we will upload our rafts in the bus and drive back to camp for the overnight stay.

Day 2

Early in the morning we will have our breakfast and continue to raft again through the same way though most of the rafters don’t recognize it. Today instead of getting out through Barabise we will take the raft through the center of town to the short flat stretch. As we reach the dam the entire ramp of the last kilometer turns into fifty meters of extremely steep and technical rapid called The Great Wall. The best part of The Great Wall is that there is a pool in the bottom and after it there is another rapid called Liquid Bliss which again takes us to another rapid called Fake Right Go Left which again takes us to rapid called My God What To Do?. The adventure comes to an end with a big bang on a long chain of drops known as Dazed and Confused. With all these technical rapids and raft flipping current of water makes this finest whitewater adventure that cannot be experienced anywhere round the world. Since our trip end in afternoon we will pack our rafts in the bus and drive back to Kathmandu.
