Wildpath Adventure is a locally owned and operated trekking company. Rajan Dhungana manages Wildpath Adventure and works closely with other guides, porters, hotels and lodge owners that he has known and trusted for many years.
Wildpath Adventure provides trekking and tour services to individuals and groups from all over the world. Previous clients have come from Canada, Australia, Switzerland, Malaysia and Singapore. Currently we have contacts in Canada and Switzerland.
While we specialize in Nepal, we are also pleased to offer treks and tours to Tibet, Bhutan and India.
Rajan Dhungana
Our leader is Rajan Dhungana, or "Raj", as everyone calls him. He was born in the beautiful hill region of Dhading, located about 100km from Kathmandu.
He completed his education through the government system and began working in the tourism sector as a porter in 1994. Shortly after starting there, his trekking company, recognizing a natural-born leader, sponsored him for a six month training course in the "Trekking Guide" specialty.
After successfully completing his training in 1996, Raj began guiding clients from many different parts of the world on treks from east to west in the kingdom of Nepal. He is particularly knowledgeable about the Annapurna Region, the Everest trekking area and the Langtang area. In 1998 he climbed Mera Peak at a height of 6476m.
He is a sincere, honest, and very hardworking leader and guide. He says that there are two principles that guide his professional life: “Duty and responsibility for the sheer satisfaction of my guests.” But his clients, many of who return for second and third times to trek with him, also remark on his great sense of humor and his kindness.
Nabin Dhungana
One of our most popular guides is Nabin Dhungana. Younger brother to Raj, he has followed in Raj’s footsteps, but at the same time, he has carved out his own way as a guide.
Nabin started working as a porter in 2008 and quickly graduated to leading groups, as his intelligence, good humor, gentle nature and concern for his clients were very evident to all. Since then he has guided many trips, primarily in the Everest and Langtang regions.
While young and not as experienced as some, he is a sought after guide and our return clients always ask for him to be on their treks.
