Overview:

4Nights 5Days Bhutan Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Fly to Paro and Drive to Thimpu
Take a scenic flight to Paro by Druk air. After clearing the customs our representative will escort to Paro for having lunch. After having lunch we pay our visit to National museum and Rinpung Dzong. After this we will drive to Thimpu for our overnight stay. Thimpu is the capital city of Bhutan with a population of 65,000 and a only capital city in the world without traffic lights.
Day 2: Excursions to Cheri Gompa
After having breakfast enjoy the 20minutes pleasant drive north towards the northern end of the valley start the trek to Cher Gompa. We will walk gradually uphill through the paddy fields to Dodena crossing the Cantievered Bridge. Another 30-45minutes steep uphill climb from here ultimately takes us to Cheri Gompa. Cheri Gompa was first built in 1620 by Shabdrung the first ruler of Bhutan who also established the first order of monks. After visiting the Cher courtyard we will visit the shrines located inside the monastery.
After visiting here we will descend down the valley and drive back to Thimpu. In the late afternoon we will reach Thimpu and walk to the main city and get a chance to experience the Bhutanese lifestyle, tradition and culture. Stay overnight at hotel.
Day 3: Drive to Paro and Sightseeing
Early in the morning enjoy the scenic drive to Paro. As you arrive Paro our local representative will receive you and get transferred to the hotel. In the afternoon we will be visiting Ta Dzong which dates back to 17th century and was converted into National Museum in 1968 which is further adorned with antique Thanka, textiles, weapons and Armour. After this we will drive to Rinpung Dzong which too dates back to 17th century and was built to defend Tibetan invaders. Now this is used as a administration center and school for monks. Stay overnight at hotel.
Day 4: Hike to Thakstang monastery (tiger’s nest)
Early in the morning we will drive to Ramthangkha. From here we will start an uphill hike to Satsam Chorther through the pristine Pine forest to Thakstang monastery. Thakstang monastery is an ideal model of rich artistic architecture of ancient Bhutan. The monastery hangs on a sheer rock cliff in a distance of 900m from the valley. After exploring the monastery we will visit Ta Dzong which a National museum of Bhutan which used to be a watchtower in the past. Later in the evening we will visit the ruins of Drukgyel Dzong which was built to commemorate the victory of Bhutanese army over the Tibetan invaders in 1644. Stay overnight in Paro.
Day 5: Farewell
Our representative will drive to Paro International Airport to bid you good bye.
