Sirubari Village Tour

Overview:

Sirubari is a small Gurung settlement in Syangja district which is in the south west of Pokhara. We can get there from Pokhara with a short drive followed by a comfortable walk. Placed at the altitude of 1,700m from the sea level; Sirubari is a most happening name in village tourism blessed with magnanimous amount of natural beauty which is second to none. The place has the ideal climate and you can visit here during the anytime of the year. The houses are built here using the local resources which look beautiful and comfortable and at the same time the houses are one of the best ways to reflect the local identity. Though the trial leading us to the village is quite steep but it is stone paved quite interestingly.

The colorful foray of different sort of flowers and green slopes makes this village more naturally beautiful and interesting to visit. Apart from this other major attractions of Sirubari is its Gurung culture. Here you will be presented with cultural offerings by Gurung community which will leave you speechless. The vibrant and prosperous Gurung culture and traditions along with the fine blend of their hospitality makes this village tour a remarkable experience. In 2001 Sirubari along with Nepal Tourism Board had won PATA GOLD AWARD for its efforts to preserve the culture and heritage of Nepal.

Itinerary Detail

Sirubari Village Tour Itinerary

Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival
In airport our local representative will receive you and get transferred to the hotel. In hotel you will freshen up have some food and drive to our office for the briefing of your trip.

Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing
In the morning we will have the lunch and start to explore the historical city of Kathmandu. The places we will pay our visit are the holy temple of Pashupatinath which is located in the bank of Bagmati and the stupa of Bodhanath which dates back to 7th century. We will also visit the monkey temple of Swoyambhunath situated in the hilltop looking Kathmandu city and also visit Patan city which is known for its fine arts and architecture. Drive back to hotel have dinner and get to bed.

Day 03: Drive to Pokhara
Pokhara located 200km west of Kathmandu demands 7hours of bus drive to get there. We will get there by tourist bus which leaves from Kantipath( Pokhara) to Pokhara. The drive follows the Trishuli River. Throughout the whole path we will be greeted by the magical landscape. In the evening we can do some sightseeing in Pokhara. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 04: Drive to Sirubari
Grab your breakfast and drive to Sirubari via Badhkhola and Darau which takes around four hours. We will have our lunch in Sirubari and the locales will welcome us and village lama (priest) will give us blessings. Stay overnight at home stay.

Day 05: Explore Sirubari
Today we will explore this beautiful village and its vicinity and also make a hike to neighboring villages. We will witness the local cultural programs.

Day 06: Explore Sirubari
Hike to Maidan Kharka and Thumro as it offers the magical view of sun rising over the mountains. We will have our lunch at home stay and after lunch we will visit the local Gompa.

Day 07: Drive back to Pokhara
Early in the morning drive back to Pokhara. In Pokhara we will have our lunch and in the remaining we will do some sightseeing. In Pokhara we will visit David’s fall, Gupteswor cave, Bindabasini temple and many others. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 08: Drive back to Kathmandu
Early in the morning catch a drive for Kathmandu from Pokhara. It takes around 7 hours. We will have our lunch in the route. In the evening in Kathmandu we can do some family shopping. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 09: Farewell
At the time of your flight, transfer to Tribhuwan International Airport for you onward Journey.
